Special bond between my son and I
I was teachning my son how to count backwards from 20 to 1 then some animals and some body organs in chinese and english, yes this means EVERYTHInG I say to him I need to say 2 times... of course I was teaching him by playing with him and it was very tiring for me. i am definitely his favorite person in this world so far, no doubt about that , but sometimes I just wish I am not THAT special cause I need a break ! It's amazing how 2 year olds know how to sweet talk and push you around so you ended up doing what they want.
Ding ding another phone ring
OK, I do not know why but I have got more phone calls from different companies this week than when I first graduated.... my degree and experiences must be hot these days. last company's director called today to let me know of a new opportunity under his department. Well I was actually tempted to WORK AGAIN, but no, the inner voice says to me, you have already choose what to do remember? OH YEAH . Well i'm still glad to hear I did have a good image ( running around in the company even to get a printout from printer, how hard working huh?)
I found an addition to interviews and get offers, i love the pressure and the way they say YOU"RE HIRED. HAHAHAH bad am I not? I wasted many people's time to hire me and I ended up not go. sign...
ok now, my dear husband is away for a few days, so i'm alone with my son. Should I go shopping? or go partying? hahaha NOTHING with a toddler around even if you WANT to go wild while husband's away. HAHA just kidding... when I mentioned to him of going back to work or not HE DEFINITELY said NOONONNONONONO and begged me to stop my addiction to WANTING to be hired.
hmmm i bet he is in middle of nowhere so bored right now, after all he never left me for 1 day , he must miss me too much to even speak now.

No arms, no feet, a doctor?
amazing news:
http://thefloridamasochist.com/2007/06/02/kellie-lim-again/
WOW , this women is a super role model ! although 2 fingers would be hard to do surgery, she would still make it as a top doctor with her brain.
This proves that if you did not achieve something you wanted then you did not try hard enough.

Best way to wean toddler and potty train
after all the research, once again, I found that the best way to wean a toddler is to put a bandaid AND vinegar on your breasts and say OUTCH it hurts whenever your baby tries to suck. Sour is the best after all my trials.
as for potty train, let your child stay home without anything on, first give a potty train video, then let him/her watch you go, explain poopoo or peepee goes to the potty, reward them and if they go elsewhere, put up a sad face.
in about 2 weeks my son learned to go potty on his own, every time! well it seems pretty easy, I still can't believe it. Best to start around age 2 !

Designer bag for much less
Ok, so all the gucci, YSL, prada ...bag lovers, why spend $1000s of dollars on real one or $800 + on Ebay when you can get them from ioffer with real quality for much less? A new finding during internet research. Of course you must pick a good supplier and know how to identify fake ones that look real in quality and inside out. go to style.com for latest fashion shows, pick styles from there, or from borrow or steal online store for a closer look then order then on ioffer.

Eating out doesn't get any easier than this. At Nasi Kandar Pelita you don't have to decipher unfamiliar words on a menu. Instead, an array of dishes are paraded on heated steel trays - you simply choose and point and the waiter will scoop your selected dishes onto your plate. The price varies depending on the number and type of dishes you pick, but most servings will cost between US$1.50 to US$3 per person. If you like your food spicy and soaked with gravy, ask for their specialty mixed gravy (kuah campur). It's open 24 hours, and there's an air-conditioned section upstairs if you want to escape the heat. Due to its close proximity to office complexes, the place can be very packed during lunch hours on weekdays.

Working Mom VS Stay At Home Mom
I am an only child grew up in a family with 100% well educated financially independent full time working women. I was not even allowed to think that one day I may become a housewife.
My husband grew up as the oldest of the 3 siblings and females of his family were housewives after marriage by choice or not.
When I was in college I said to everyone “ I will never become a housewife” , I associated the term housewife with a low social status. I was the top student in class, I had fortune 500 company working experiences before I even graduated college, got my master’s degree in high tech industry and ivy league post graduate education by age 23.
Then I got married at 24 to my best friend for 5 years, got pregnant during first month !and of course, a baby comes 10 month later and by then I still did not even know how to put on a diaper.
Even people with little medical knowledge know that mom’s milk is best for the baby, so there, I stayed home with my son for first 2 years providing him with mommy’s milk, and produced a healthy hardly never get sick baby.
Well let me tell you about that life, since I could not get any help from parents or in laws, as a first time mother, it was boring, tiring and lonely at times , other members of the family made me feel that I wasted my master's degree and ivy league education. Oh and WHAT IF my husband and I divorce later, WHAT IF my husband becomes ill or die, WHAT IF my decision power within the household dropped since I no longer bring in $.... the list goes on and on… then of course there are benefits as well.
Right after my son turned two, I started look for full time job CLOSE to home. Since I am pretty good at what I’m doing, with the confidence and good looks still there HAHA I was able to find a good company 5 minutes from my home. I was so happy that day knowing that I finally get to work full time again and with good pay too.
Working mother’s life was not easy as I imagined. When I worked I wanted to be the best, often overtime was required, husband did not want me to work to begin with so he didn't take as much days off when baby was sick compared to me (He makes a lot more and is in senior management position), drop off, pick up, lunch etc all became my responsibility. I skipped lunch most days so I could finish work on time to pick up my son( VERY BUSY company), house was a mess, my health went down, that was still ok, but then my son was sick from day care every single week with ear infections or flu or uh happy fever or something else, his first sentence was MOM NO WORK!
I looked at my son’s eyes and wondered, what’s more important, being a slave to help someone else make $ off you so that you could be called a senior manager or spend more time with my son when I do have the choice . The next day I QUIT . I felt very bad for my boss and the company though. But hey, when they don’t need you anymore they sure won’t feel sorry to let you go.
I am now an official HAPPY stay at home mom once again thinking of it as early retirement. I am glad that I did experience the working mom’s life so I could compare myself. Now I can learn things I like rather than sad about not having the working mother title, read news on internet without being “watched” on how many minutes you spend on none company stuff, sleep till 10am if I want to …. (decision was made based on internet research of other people's feelings, my own experiences and of course calculation of our finances after tax, expenses, childcare and opportunity cost). I choose to marry this man, It’s a risk already, so why not risk it till the end, if unexpected things happen, then I’ll deal with it when it happens instead of worry 20,30,40 years ahead of time. Life is short, live happily every sec of it.
Now here is a good article about how to be a wife, I agree with some points and some I don’t agree with, but overall it’s a good article to let wives use their strength to be in control haha.
http://www.snopes.com/language/document/goodwife.asp
I found my son most happy with
1) DAY CARE SCHOOL 2 DAYS A WEEK
2)OUTSIDE EXTRA ACTIVITIES SUCH AS MOM AND ME MUSIC, DANCE, GYM CLASSES
3)HAVING ME TEACHING HIM MATH, LANGUAGE, SCIENCE, ABC...
4)HAVE MOM AROUND FOR GOOD LUNCH
5)HAVE MOM TO HUG AND KISS
I found myself well rested mentally, more educated and aware of the world events and husband much happier as well. Hope this will result in a long lasting marriage till the end.
If you are thinking of quit your professional job to stay home with your kids, be sure to
1) have $
2) buy extra insurance for your husband and yourself
3) contribute to your own IRA, extra retirement as before
4)your name on the beneficiary list of everything
5)always looks your best and stay confident
6)have a husband who loves AND respect you and of course WANTS to support you financially
7)know where your family's $ comes and goes
8)keep learning and stay attractive to other men so your husband is still a little jealous sometimes!
